Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot is a fast-track immigration program that allows employers in Canada’s four Atlantic provinces — Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island — to hire foreign nationals for jobs they haven’t been able to fill locally. Canada invites 3350 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence.

Canada invited 3,350 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence in a new draw that took place on 6th of March, 2019. Candidates with scores as low as 454 were issued Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residency (ITAs) in this round. IRCC applied the tiebreak rule and the time published was February 11, 2019, at 17:21:27 UTC. This means that all candidates with a CRS – Comprehensive Ranking Score of 454 and above who created an Express Entry profile before the posted date and time, received an ITA in this draw. As of yesterday the 11th of March, DIBP published the new occupation lists affecting General Skilled and Employer-sponsored migration. The goal as always is to ensure that skilled foreign workers become part of Australia’s work force and contribute effectively to the economy. The field of Sciences has been given attention in this new SOL. A number of occupations in this area have been added to the Medium and Long Term Skills Shortage List (MLTSSL).
